About

I am a writer, photographer, journalist and

educator. I have written four YA and middle-grade

novels, and I have lived, written and taught in Vancouver,

Guatemala, and New Zealand. I believe that writing, like teaching, is more about process than product; what one accomplishes with joy and struggle, moment by moment, in real time, is what counts, even when it results in so-called failure. I now teach at an elementary school dedicated to teaching students with dyslexia in Toronto, where I've with my wife, my son, and my poodle, Teega.
